Cucharas Phase 1
Two Rivers has completed the first step in submitting plans to the State Engineer for the rehabilitation of the Cucharas Reservoir. We plan on starting construction soon; in the meantime, we have included the plans for the construction.

We have started construction on Cucharas Reservoir. The first step is cross ripping the rock for the overflow.

After cross ripping the rock, it was pushed into piles and ready to be removed.

Silt from the bottom of the reservoir was trenched so crews can get in and start repairing and resurfacing parts of the dam.

Below is a picture of the Ogee dam being removed and the lowering of the spillway.

Continuing to lower the spillway to the approved gage height 100.

Crews have mobilized to start resurfacing the dam.

We have submitted changes to the original drawings to the State Engineer for approval.

Crews working on resurfacing the face of the dam, building forms for the concrete and filling cracks.

The footing for the retaining wall was poured today.

Our contractor is building more forms for the retaining wall.

The forms have been built and the concrete pour will take place on the 16th of April.

Our contractor pumps concrete into the forms.

We completed the final pour last week. We are now finished with the construction portion of phase 1.
